Режисер Лео Кастальді спланував виставу так, щоб між артистами зберігалася відстань в два метри. Таким чином «Травіата» отримала версію без звичних сцен танців і світських вечорів.
«Це та «Травіата», яка має сенс для нинішніх часів. Створюючи її, ми відкрили для себе багато нового. Ми з’ясували, що музика цілком може заповнити дистанцію, що утворилася», – розповів Кастальді.
У новому спектаклі оркестранти також розташувалися на безпечній відстані один від одного, а секцію дерев’яних духових інструментів додатково відокремили пластиковою стінкою – така ж відокремлює диригента від оркестру.
Особливі запобіжні заходи впровадили і в залі для глядачів. На переобладнання театру витратили понад 340 тис. євро. З урахуванням заходів безпеки, кількість глядачів обмежили до 869.
